feliz año nuevo, y’all.

there’s a different energy in the air as we enter the first few days of january 2026. i didn’t really say any of my “goals” or “resolutions” out loud this year.

doing so felt like it would put an unnecessary amount of pressure on me. i’ve already put enough pressure on myself to perform, and i don’t want to do that anymore, fr.

this year feels like one meant to nurture my spirit through creativity — to nurture my ambitions and actually follow through on the promises i’ve made to myself, not everyone around me.

2025 felt like the training portion for this next chapter. there are a lot of lessons i’m carrying with me as we — my readers and i — journey through 2026 together.

so, i looked up what “2026” means numerologically: 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10. and that 10 symbolizes the number 1, making 2026 a “universal 1 year.”

a blog called girl and her moon gave me some insight into numerology. blogger isabel marie describes 2026 as the start of a new cycle — a fresh beginning.

“it is the force that begins things — not because conditions are perfect, but because beginnings carry their own sacred momentum,” isabel marie wrote. “the number 1 does not wait for permission. it follows instinct. it trusts the pull toward something new. it says yes to the path even when the map is incomplete.”

and honestly, that’s exactly what i’m feeling, isabel marie. 2026 is about nurturing my own momentum.

i’ve already felt some gratification from simply having a game plan for my blog this year. i’ve found ways to move forward and build momentum in an audhd-friendly way — one that doesn’t burn me out or make me give up as soon as i start.

easing my way into 2026 is how i’m choosing to build that momentum. pacing is how i’ll nurture it all — and isabel marie agrees.

“a 1 year doesn’t ask for perfection — only willingness. only participation. only movement. this is a year of awakening selfhood, of direction reorienting, of inner truth rising. a year where the spark inside you asks for expression.”

though i’m not sharing my endeavors as publicly as i’ve always done, there will be signs lol. shit, the first one is this post.

so if i had a new year’s “resolution,” it would be this: slowing down to gain — and keep — the deliberate momentum i’m freely creating, so i can fully thrive in my passions.

in conclusion, for this brief post to kick off 2026, i’m feeding an ambition that has never left me. i learned in 2025 that it just needed to be carefully tended to — and watered again.

2026 is the year of nurturance, momentum, and self-evolution.
