y’all. it’s been awhile since i’ve uploaded a video to youtube…i know 🫣
i’m back though. not gonna lie, work and personal life have been super draining.
like, am i feeling okay, or “good,” about things picking up at work? kinda. am i okay with learning so much about myself in a short span of time? yes however its a bit jarring—and a little overstimulating.
still, i’m working on how i maintain consistency as a professional storyteller and aspiring youtuber.

so this video was uploaded on the last day of Black History Month. I wanted to get a video out for the month of february—well, at least, something like that lol.
but i got it out.
and i felt pretty okay about that. it was a late upload because of that work-life balance i mentioned. plus, the edits being a bit overwehelming—even though i spaced them out how i normally would (yet, im also a over achiever).
anywhos.
this lastest episode of “the g spot” is special-interest forward with a sprinkle of mental health talk. as someone who is still figuring out where they are on the spectrum of neurodiversity, i’m getting the feeling it ‘s a mix of autism and adhd.
this is known as “auhd.”
my therapist and i had a couple conversations around this, and it kinda clicked.
like i’ve always felt different even when i was a kid however in Black households the concept of being developmentally or mentally “challenged” was so taboo unless it was like visibly apparent.
but, of course, i did some research. i made a breakdown below (pinch to zoom).
check out my reasearch (autism-specific) – click me.

these there are recommended and/or quailty test for folks like me doing research into themselves (lol). i have being given professional advice and pre-assesments from my therspist of about two years. you can learn more here.
just wanted to note that i also did an adhd questionnaire, and my score was 1435. apparently, based on the scoring, anything above 1399 means i have “some specific symptoms related to adhd.”
i’ve went off on a tangent…somewhat. (any-more-whos).
so this episode features some recent anime that i finsihed watching. i yap about cells at work (2018), cells at work: code black (2021), and uzumaki (2024).

- note: the series is limited, so i enjoyed all four epsiodes.
- g’s rating: nine-point-five (9.5). body horror was a plus.
- favorite episodes: (#2) people turn into snails… & (#3) kurouzu hospital is in an uproar…
i also go into some discourse around the political nature of horror films by way of the terrifier franchise.
this research-based “conversation” was sparked by a tweet made by the director of the franchise Damien Leone.
i did some digging and posed a question…
are horror movies always political? – click me.
- defined “poltical” through the lens of horror.
- the genre pushes boundaries of social construts. reflect society and can call out injustice(s) of groups like Black people—for instance.
- Robin Wood, 1979: reflects or responds to repressed fears and anxieties of society; “reurn of the repressed.” (movies have meaning regardless of director’s intent.)
- Damien Leone’s intent.
- Leone’s post summed up: Leone supports people and those among his cast who voice their beliefs and views. in fact, he doesn’t mind however his stance is that he just wanted make slasher films for pure entermaint.
- cast members have outspoken about their beliefs and poltical views including leads David Howard Thorton and Lauren Lavera.
- based on the context, some say the post was in response to cast member but Leone stated otherwise in said post.

- Leone’s post summed up: Leone supports people and those among his cast who voice their beliefs and views. in fact, he doesn’t mind however his stance is that he just wanted make slasher films for pure entermaint.
- terrifier has some political implications however the overall (personal) takaway is that horror movies are political due, mostly, to the interpretation of the audience (and society at the time, technically).
to add, i really love the terrfier movies. i had no clue about them until late 2024. i remember all hallow’s eve (2013) vaguely however i know that’s what spawned the art the clown-focused saga.

the pure slasher feel with a somewhat immortal yet whimsical villian is what does it for me. art the clown is cheeky, grim, and grotesque. a vibe.
Leone also teased terrfier 4 (2026) in january 2025—his birthday month.
this post is long-winded. that’s me folks.
but, those of just some of the extracurriculars i’ve completed as of recently (like the last few weeks lol).
i really hope y’all enjoy this upload. i plan to do anoother in maybe a week or so. taking my time with this, honestly.
sidebar: i’ll eventually add an audio only version of my show on spotify and applle. it’ll happen as i learn more about my workflow and what works for my niche.
